What can I say? Refusal

Post by Nousky » Tue Dec 07, 2004 10:12 am

Dear friends,

Just received a mail from the HO and below is what they say about my

".....did not deem your work experience as being that which would usually
require a degree level education".

My application was received on the 25 May by the home office and my ref number is 0192xxxx (to help those on waiting list)

One of my company policy is that you should be a graduate to move to a Senior level which I am.
How can I present my appeal :?: .

The hope is still on  . I am not defeated. 8)

Very sorry to hear about your case Nousky but as you rightly say dont loose hope yet.

You do the following while preparing for your appeal
- Search the forum for posts on appeal. I think there are atleast 2 members who have appealed and gotten approval in the last 3 months. There are numerous posts by them. Check for posts by noddy*
- Remember when you appeal you cannot supply any additional evidence. Any documentation provided should be to better explain your position. No addiotional documentation will be permitted.
- Call up the HSMP team and ask for advise on evidence for work experience and consider reapplication. I believe they will allot you your original HSMP reference number and process your reapplication immediatly. The advantage being you can supply new evidence to show your experience is that of a graduate.

Good luck!

Sorry to learn this Nousky. I hope you will make it on review. I want to ask do the HSMP team tell the decisions on emails also?

Regards

Hey Nousky, did the HSMP people give you a breakdown of the points you scored?

Thanks guys for sharing your feelings with me.

The decision was made 3 December 2004.

I was given 60 and 0 for work experience because of that famous justification of "job experience not requesting graduate level".
Very painful indeed and this decision hurt me a lot.

The basic requirement to gain employment as a senior staff in my company is to be a graduate. I just don't understand this dicision!!!

I will be absent from this forum for a while the time to streignten myself in the Lord and prayerful take another step concerning my life and I will storm back very soon.

Good luck for those waiting. Thank you very much. I really had a good time with you in this forum.

Nousky,

Sorry that the application was not approved - it is helpful to note that it is the responsibility of the applicant to prove beyond any doubt to the satisfaction of the caseworker the claimed points. It is noticeable from the forum that the issue of 'graduate level' work experience is of paramount importance to the HSMP Team and must be approached concisely and to the required extent/ detail. As others have said try again - I'm sure you will go through. It might be helpful to review historic posts on the same subject to see how others have dealt with similar results.

Good luck

There is no going back indeed.
I am waking up. (I almost gave up)
I have already send the explanation. I couldn't sleep until I did it. :P
Waiting to hear from the HO very soon.
Hope this time the case worker will be good.

nousky, did you receive an email stating your decision? If your decision is taken on 3rd and you are 25th may applicant, how come other people (who have applied between 18th to 25th may) havent got their decisions? Do they inform only by post as they dont seem to be replying on phone these days...

anyone ...any clue?
