Validity of A1 English Certificate.

Hi,
My Thai wife entered the UK on a spouse visa in December 2013 having passed English at A1 level in Bangkok. Can she still use the A1 certificate when she applies for FLR(m) in July2016. She is really confused as friends have told her that the certificate will no longer be valid after November 2015.

Anybody any knowledge of this subject ?

However do note that the reply (quoted email) from HO does not specifically mention dates.
The real answer may be all will be known sometime after November 2015 when it is likely the proof of English website is updated.
