Congrats to all who recieved their RC's . Well looking at the things practically like ARC-747 received their RC ... I think I am sure six months are from the date you submit your application. Applied 10-4 and COA was 02-06 ... So that's what makes me think it's the application submission date really ?? Any thoughts on it friends ?

Yes, by law the time counts from the time you submit your application. See Article 10 here:
http://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/ ... 16&from=EN

Article 10
Issue of residence cards
1. The right of residence of family members of a Union citizen who are not nationals of a Member State shall be evidenced by the issuing of a document called ‘Residence card of a family member of a Union citizen’ no later than six months from the date on which they submit the application. A certificate of application for the residence card shall be issued immediately.

Thank you atsha! Indeed. I already thought about that. As Christmas most of us need to travel back home. Re-enter UK border, I hope there won't be much trouble ... Or maybe Home Office staff feel happy to be with their family on Christmas and think about us, like oh,, these poor applicants also need to be with their family, since only few days left, let's grant their RC before Christmas... I'm dreaming...

Hi bellevue, most likely, they will call you on the next working day (in this case, next Monday). Do tell them, it's been more than a month, your fees not taken, and you did not receive any biometrics invitation letter, you are very worried. Ask them to check on your status what's going on, because it seems not normal.

Guys I got my RC!
We we're all right. That delivery i missed the other day was the permit. We got another missed delivery yesterday from royal mail which my partner collected this morning. It was all our documents back along with a letter that basically said that the application was approved and I could stay in the UK! I can't believe how fast it was. I applied 19th of April. I would definitely say that they felt guilty about losing our passports and actually pulled their fingers out and did their jobs.

Anyway I'm sorry I won't be able to show you guys what it looks like. I won't actually get my hands on it until the 1st :( but if no one else has the new cards by then I will put a photo up.

Good luck to everyone still waiting for there's. I'm sure they'll be with you soon :)

They are not strictly consistent with applications , sometimes you can get it before someone applied before you. Hopefully I ll get some news as well this week.

Hi bashyboy144! It is acutually written in COA letter, "we expect to decide applications for a Residence Card, Permanent Residence Card or Derivative Residence Card within six months from the date of application."

Yes, by law the time counts from the time you submit your application. See Article 10 here:
http://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/ ... 16&from=EN

Article 10

A certificate of application for the residence card shall be issued immediately.
So according to this by-law 9.2 The deadline for submitting the residence card application may not be less than three months from the date of arrival.

should we apply 3 months after enter country or within 3 months?

I applied 3 weeks after I came :/

If you are referring to this paragraph in Article 9:
2. The deadline for submitting the residence card application may not be less than three months from the date of arrival.

What they mean is that (in our case) the UK may not require that you apply within less than 3 months from the date of arrival. But it's up to you to apply when you are ready, whether it's less or more than 3 months. I don't think there's currently any deadline, I haven't heard of any.

Congratulations to all of you who has received RC and to those who have received COA. Good luck to the rest of us who is still waiting for a response.

To all of you who is using this forum can you please put signature with when your application was sent, when you received COA and when you have possibly received RC and when it was dated. Then it becomes easier for the rest of us readers to follow along.

You can create a signature in the following way: Go at the top of the page to the left press on where it says "User Control Panel", then press the "profile folder", then press on "edit signature" on the left of the page. I hope it will help :D
