TIER 2 GENERAL ILR STOPPED AFTER 2018

Hi

I am hearing some new from my friends that UK Tier2 General visa holders cannot apply for ILR after 2018. Is that true? Can anyone please confirm that? I am thinking whether i should take the risk of waiting till 2018 or try finding some other better opportunities. Please help.

Your Title would be more accurate if it said 'Tier 1 ILR stopped after 2018'.

not affect existing tier 2 general migrants ?

The change coming into place in 2018 is ONLY for Tier 1 General who will no longer be able to apply for ILR. It DOES NOT, as it stands now, affect Tier 2 General migrants.
