Out of interest how have they asked u to pay as we had problem on website so i just paid everything again and i only needed to pay ihs but didnt know how they would ask to pay, have they sent u link to pay?

yes i received the link and made the payment, i spoke to my solicitor he advised me to make the payment even though he thinks sending them proof would be an other option but extra payment will be refunded anyway so making a payment again for us is good to keep process going.
BUT
to be my sheer astonishment, this is not £600 that they charge at time of application, this is ADDITIONAL cost, as i clicked the link it said additional costs to be paid, dont know whats happening,

You know that link when you login, as per new changes IHS Payment is within online application so thats old way of paying through website?

If you submitted doc then even i dunno why they asked again £600 but its not on application, u have to hand write in the form. on top.

If you show them all proofs then i am sure they will refund you, try emailing them?

i have checked it thoroughly, its not spam, unfortunately they have charged me extra, i dont wana dispute at this v delicate point when its abt 12 weeks since application was made, just for sake of £600, same my solicitor has suggested, i will however appeal them to refund once case is dealt with,

You do not need to demonstrate reading and writing skills. Where a test examines all four components (speaking, listening, reading and writing) you do notneed to pass the reading and writing components, you only need to evidence passing the speaking and listening components.

2) Settlement
: If you intend to apply under the settlement route you must provide evidence that you have passed the speaking and listening components of a test at level B1 or above.You do not need to demonstrate reading and writing skills. Where atest examines all four components (speaking, listening, reading and writing) you do not need to pass thereading and writing components, you only need to evidence passing the speaking and listening components.

A1 city&guilds test is only accepted if test taken before April 2015 and will not be able to be used for immigration purposes after November 5th, b1 is used for ILR so u can take the b1 when applying for FLR then use it for ILR...

When did your wife sit the exam??

Does this mean you can still use the A1 English test for further leave to remain application after November 5th 2015?

Can you use the same A1 certificate in 2.5 years for further leave to remain?

As you said you need B1 for ILR.
