Hi all, Im a June applicant that recently received approval. My application was through a solicitor and he had some interesting views that might be helpful.

Essentially, as a couple of people have suggested, straightforward cases and those of BC spouse and 5 year (T1) route applicants tend to receive faster decisions. This is possibly because they tend to do more checks/due diligence on the other routes.

This by no means suggests that you will not be approved or your application has been overlooked, just that they may be undertaking further checks and you should hear back soon, hopefully well before the 6 months are up.

I hope this is useful. You guys have been amazing in helping me keep my spirits up whilst waiting and I hope you get your desired response soon. All the best.

i am 5 years tier 1 and 2 years ILR applied end of April and not approved yet, im as straight forward an applicant as you can get. I just cant believe how many May and even June applicants are getting approved, i dont see where the fairness is in this ;ahead of april and even March. did you lawyer have any insight into this disparity?

Not really, it does appear that spouse of BC applications are being handled a lot quicker. He mentioned this even at the time of applying, that as spouse of a BC I could expect a decision quicker than most in around 3 months and he wasn't far off.

Is anyone who is spouse of a BC still awaiting a decision?

Separately, on the decisions being based on biometrics date, I submitted mine on 19th June if that helps at all.

I think we are in advance country here home office do not need to send letter to other departments to check applicant history everything on them computer. ...I had conviction more then 4 year ago I mentioned in application also about address I rang to home office two weeks ago and that lady told me you don't need to us about this .I came here as a spouse never change my visa status always been working paying 600 pound tax never got tax clam never got benifit always pay for everything .....never involved in any kind off violence so what kind further check we are so many waiting from so long we pay everything same but decision time for us further check if they can't check in this five month what else check in this last 3 weeks ...

I applied on 27th april 2015 on the basis of 10yrs long residence (STUDENT+PSW+TIER 1 GENERAL) + 1 yr ILR and still waiting !!!.As far as I m concerned my application is straightforward but it all depends how HO assess each individual case .We have no choice except to wait and hope for the best

i woulld class any non-asylum or having no immigration restrictions as straighforward but what do i know!? im starting to think that the longer youve lived here the longer they take as they have more entry/exits to check maybe?

Exactly the same situation as you guys, but under EEA 5 years + 1 year PR. I've applied the 27th of April, biometrics done the 23/06, but I haven't received any approval yet. HO hasn't asked for extra docs. Finger crossed that everything is fine. By the way, has any of you been contacted by HO asking for these extra documentation? Also, under the spreadsheet provided there is not option to put that the application was refused, so I wonder if any of you have received your application refused straightway. I'd appreciate your prompt confirmation.

i feel the same is true for those applying the week starting 27th april. only group of people according to the spreadsheet without a single approval yet. i share your concern.

i feel your pain, especially when people say things the only people who arent approved yet are the ones with extra check, complex apps etc. no one knows how the HO works yet everyone likes to speculate.
