Didn't we see approvals from 1st or 2nd week of April recently? I am pretty hopeful we will hear by the end of this month.

curious, have you been out of the country a lot in the last 5 year ( i have had quite a few absences and although ive never been away for longr than the allowed period i wonder if it takes them that long to check 5 years worth of weekends away!

Depends on how you define lots.

Yes I have traveled around Europe a bit, been to NZ once.

But this can't be it. I know someone who has traveled lot more than I have and not just in Europe. He is been to USA and South America as well. He is from NZ applied end of April and received his approval this month.

maybe the person looking for april 13th to april 16th is on long long holiday ... enjoying sunny weather somewhere in the world and we just have to wait for this person to come back and start working again

My timeline is same as yours ie Applied on 1st April, HO recd on 2nd April, Acknowledgement recd on 28th April with no further progress. I am also a NZ citizen. My wife applied after me ie on 7th April and got everything sorted even the British passport was issued last week. I heard that where people are on self employment status in the preceeding 5 years, it is being checked to ensure that tax had been declared/paid, however not sure how correct this would be as I have a clean tax record myself.

I am not worried if it takes ages for me but I can't seem to understand the logic behind dealing with May/Jun application but keeping on hold the Mar/April ones?

I applied 30 March and HO received it on 1st April and no response after the ack letter.

I am self employed and I guess that is what takes such long times.. God knows how long HO would take to make a decision.

I think there are few self employed ppl in may/June approved cases, which make this self employed applicants taking more time rubbish

I've been watching these boards for a while now, thought I'd just weigh in with my details, as I'm also still waiting and thought (as did the person at the NCS), that it would be so straight-forward, I'd receive the approval in no time! Trying not to worry....

Eligibility criteria: EU National, ILR (other than working abroad 2003-2005, have lived here since 1999!)
Language criteria met: Grew up in an English-speaking country + UK degree

Married to a British Citizen too, and worked full-time 2005-2015; set up as self-employed in April 2015 following redundancy. Even been CRB-checked several times as done voluntary work with children. They should have all my records, so no idea what's taking them so long...

I applied on 30th of april & submitted my biometrics on 1st june. Applied on the grounds of being married to BC. Still waiting for my approval...I think Home office staff will only get to know bout the heartaches/frustration of not receiving a brown envelope through post, if only they themselves got through the same application process.
