Moving home whilst application pending

Post by theaviator380 » Mon Sep 28, 2015 8:31 am

Hello All,

I have applied for citizenship in June 2015 through NCS (Myself + family, wife and a child). I might be switching my job..as I might be getting very good offer at different company to what I am working at the moment.

I have a small query and would like to know,

has anyone moved there house whilst citizenship application is pending?

Is there any formal procedure from HO that applicant should follow?

Also moving house/address whilst application pending causes any further issues or does it have any implications of application?

Your comments and advise will be helpful.

Thank you.

Hi,
you would have to update your address on the HO webside-there is a special form. I would also advise to set up mail redirection. I find this proces stressful because when I applied for my BC the HO was able to confirm over the phone what my new address was(still they sent the letter to the old address tho). Now when my husband applied for his BC they say they dont have access to the peoples adresses and cant confirm over the phone what your address is...

Notify change of address as advised in the application documents.

Suggest set up mail forwarding/redirection from old to new address (via PO) so nothing important (such as HO queries, ceremony invite & etc) gets lost.
