Tier 2 General : English language test

Post by India_123 » Thu Oct 01, 2015 9:38 pm

Hi All,

I got Tier 2 ICT established staff visa (granted on March 2011) and been in uk for last 4.5 years. I got my visa extended 3 times in the same category. Now i am trying to switch to tier 2 general and have a question around english language test. As per rules Tier 2 general applicant needs B1 level english language score. When I extended my application as Tier 2 ICT 3 years ago, I completed an english test (pearson, score B1). The validity of this score card is now expired. But will this make me automatically eligible for english score in my new tier 2 general visa form or should i take new exam? Tier 2 general application form has a following point (note it just says Tier 2 not Tier 2 General)

N6. Confirm the reason why you automatically meet the English language requirement

tick to confirm

"I currently have or was last granted leave as a Tier 2 Migrant and have previously sent
evidence of meeting the English language requirement in an earlier application;"

could someone confirm this please?

Thanks in advance.
