thanks tulip11. as you said just to be safe better to send my expired passport too. Regardstulip11 wrote:Kaanta they asks for uncelled passport means current to be send out. But as recently I made new one the expired one had all my stamps, first visa sticker etc so I just took both to post office .So lady said that send your expired as well because it got all the stamps. So I sent both passports current and expired for just to be on safe side. Plus as a naturalised citizen you dont need to provide them grandparents details. Just give your parents details. Hope this helps you. Best of luck. And yes no need to send BRP card.

Grandparents details are not applicable to naturalised citizen. If you go at end of guidance booklet and check the tables you will find the red cross in section of grandparents details for naturalised citizen.
Yes coming to the point of parents details so as I am naturalised citizen and my both parents were born abroad so I gave their DOB's and places of births but as I didnt have any record of their date of marriage so I left that blank. So that wasnt an issue . In interview they will ask you about your parents details as its just needed for id checking thats it.
I don't think that's what the table says. It indicates that you only have to provide supporting documents regarding your grandparents if you are claiming a British passport in lieu of a British Overseas Territories passport, or through lineage (for people born as UK citizens 1983 onward). My understanding is that even naturalized citizens are expected to provide what details they can about their grandparents (and I believe one recent applicant mentioned in this thread that they had to reapply because they left off parents' details, and on clarifying with the helpline was told to provide both parents' and grandparents' details, even though citizenship was being claimed via naturalization). But apparently enforcement of this by the caseworker seems to vary.tulip11 wrote:Kaganta

When I used the "online" form to obtain status about my application, it apparently was picked up by someone from customer services, who sent me an email for further details, and once I provided the details, sent me another email telling me when and where the application was received and processed, and when the interview letter had been sent.bura wrote:so how do people found out when the the application was recieved by IPS. do they get email or something? thanks

Now just waiting for the passport to be delivered.
Finally after two months of chasing received a call for interview and on line status is showing printing now. These two months were a nightmare since l was desperate to travel and passport office was ready to give no information and was not even ready to return my pakistani passports. I don't know what went wrong with my application which caused this much of delay where rest of every body was getting it in one to two weeks. Hope to get it in couple of days now. Best of luck to every body.ChOudhry1 wrote:Passport for: Adult
