if you got approved then all you have to do is to apply for eu3 and u should get permanent residency for 10 years when the process is finished and you dont need to fill her details in the form and just put a photo copy of the letter you get from them when u got approved for the retention once you apply for eu3 in a week or tow you should get 6 months temporary till they take decision on the permanent residency eu3 or if you lucky on your citizenship application

Well , i applied for retention last year and was approved for retention and 10 residence at the same time even though i didn,t apply using eu form 3 , i just applied using eu 5 form for retention and wrote me back that your retention and 10 years residency has approved and i did,t pay at all any fee for my GNIB card when i went to get my 10 years visa.

It should be free of charge. I am surprised that some people have been asked to pay.

Ridiculous.

bluemoon how long does it take them to give you a decision for retention of rights application i applied end of august for it ?? has any body get it before when he wasn't divorced

i know i was shocked when i was asked to pay 300 euro by the immigration officer ,and when i ask him why do i have to pay it he said you are applying for your own rights and your wife is not gonna come with you to the garda station so you have to pay 300 the price of the card ,i didn't want to argue specially when i was in tight situation and my visa was expired a week before ,but 300 euro for a card have no value at all unless u r inside the country and not even recognised as id card and you cant travel with it with out visa thats a joke and specially when you have stamp in your passport serving the same need if someone ask you to prove your residency ,technically am still married and am not not divorced so why am i being charged ,is thats a mistake or who should i be talking to in this regard we all know that our money doesn't grew on trees :!: :?: please help me to understand if you have any info on that matter

Guys quick question.

Once you get permanent residency in Ireland can I apply for citizenship straight away?

Mine is due around April 2018 (EU fam happily married and have 6 yr old daughter :) ) and I'm thinking of moving back to the UK so I need to decide whether to stay here or not..

Considering April 2018 I complete 5 years when would I need to apply for PR and then for Irish citizenship?

Thanks in advance
Adnan
