May be i am wrong or right????? Whoever makes enquiry before 6 months by email or other way, home office put flagged on that application to do the deep enquiry or greater levels of scrutiny????

My friends applied 25/04/15 and he never contacted to ho but approved nat 2 days before 6 months finished( issued 23/09/15) received today as i received a letter can't be done within 6 m time scale issued 1 day before 6 m finished.

I asked for and received my passport back in August so I could travel with friends.
Still waiting and fuming.
Ten more days and I´m at six months.

I received a letter yesterday from HO dated 1st Oct 2015 asking me to send my ORGINAL Passport, Masters Degree, IELTS certificate, p60s and letter from employer confirming my employment start date by the 22nd Oct 2015.

The reason to request them has been mentioned as follows: "These documents are required in order to demonstrate to the Secretary of State that you satisfy the requirements for naturalisation; specifically that you meet the residence requirements for naturalisation."

I think it will be another 6 months wait for me, don't know why the NCS service is in place or why I paid for it when all these documents were seen by them and photocopied.
Please could anyone let me know if they had received a similar letter and how long did HO take to decide after you sent the documents to them.

Just to let u know that I ve been asked for further documents as well . They approved my application with in two weeks after sending documents. I'm March applicant. I know many applicants who got approvals in 2 weeks.

Just got a reply from My MP assistant , she placed the HO for my application and lets see what they say ...

I just highlighted this through MP, as they looks like have forgotten my application for which i have already paid

Few of my friends, after chasing the HO via MP got their approvals. looks like they are working with very less work force and always in the fire fighting situation to keep up the the quarterly reports. If they go by first come first serve formula then they will not be able to coupe with the work load and make their bosses happy at the same time. its how things are being handled in such departments.

so, they try to complete as many as possible and then over to next month. thats what happened to April applicants, that HO for the sake of reports need to move forward to next months and pickup the April ones once a while to keep fighting the work load.

This is because your application raises exceptionally complex issues and we require further time to consider your case thoroughly and reach a decision.

We expect to make a decision on your application shortly, but we will write to you again if this is not going to be possible.

I know worrying wont help, but just want to know what they mean by "We expect to make a decision on your application shortly", were 6 months not enough. I always applied via solicitors for the Tier 1 and further extensions cause didn't wanted to wait, this one I applied through NCS myself. and everything is so simple and straightforward with my case.

Has anyone got such letter and received the approval letter? and if so how much time did it take.

If you check this thread (few pages back), I received an email reply from HO that they need more time. Today, I received a letter with the exact words as yours. I applied along with spouse and child on 8th April too. I hope this is just a standard letter HO send to buy time to clear backlogs.
