Confused about my Cos

Hi there,
This my current Cos status.
Tier and category
Tier 2 (General - Changes of Employment)
Current CoS status: ASSIGNED
Current CoS status date: 07 July 2014
Date assigned: 07 July 2014
Expiry date (use by): 08 October 2014
Sponsorship withdrawn: N

Work dates
Start date: 08 July 2014
End date: 30 June 2017

My Tier 2 VISA expires in 2017. So, I will be extending my VISA in 2017.
But why the expiry date is 8 Oct 2014? Does that mean that my company won't be able to sponsor me when I extend in 2017?

Hi Kumar,

8 OCT 2014 was the COS expiry date not the expiry date of your leave. The COS is valid for three months only once issued and have to be used within those three months otherwise the COS becomes invalid.

In your case, the COS issue date was 7th July and Cos expiry date was 8 Oct (three months duration). You must have used this for your visa application so that you have valid leave till 2017 now.
