Tier 2 dependent - list of documents and questions

Post by ukvisat2 » Fri Sep 25, 2015 2:29 pm

I have a tier 2 general visa that was granted in December 2014.
I am applying for my Wife and daughter (3 months old) visa (currently in Pakistan ) and
below are the list of the documents which we are planning to submitting after following all the posts in the forum and recent applicants feedback.

Dependent applicant (Wife)

1) Duly filled online application form
2) NHS health Surcharge, confirmation email print out with details on
3) Original Nikkahnama (Urdu and English translation) + Marriage certificate (NADRA)
4) Passport (dependent)
5) Tuberculosis Test Certificate
6) 2 Photographs
7) Pakistan ID Card mentioning Husband Name (original)

Dependent applicant (Child)

8) Duly filled online application form
9) NHS health Surcharge, confirmation email print out with details on
10) Passport (dependent)
11) Tuberculosis Test Certificate
12) 2 Photographs

Documents from Main Applicant
13) Passort and visa copy
14) Pay slips (6 months)
15) Job confirmation letter from employer
16) Bank statements for consecutive 90 days maintaining funds for my wife 1260 (630 + 630) pounds minimum (I have maintained 2000 pounds)
17) Invitation Letter
18) Tennancy Agreement (*)

We will be applying in next couple of weeks after going through the documents and requirements

I need help with followings;

7) bank statement needs to be original? or scanned?
13) do I need to attest my passport and visa copy??, if yes - form where can I attest these
14) I have pay slips in soft-copy? Do I need to send it in hard-copy (orginal)?
18) Currently, I am living in sharing house and don't have any tennancy agreement. Is it neccessary to have tennancy agreement or landlord letter for dependents?

I am hoping that we dont have to submit birth certificates.

Please let me know if we have missed anything or if we need to provide extras....

Many thanks in advance

Bank statements need to be original.

You need a tenancy agreement or a letter from your landlord which says that your wife and child can live at the place that you are staying.

Having things which shows that the relationship between you and your wife is subsisting would help your case, like chat logs, skype logs, phone call logs etc.

I am not sure why you wouldn't want to submit birth certificates.

Have a look at these threads to see what other applicants submitted:

@ukvisat2
Regarding the pay slip. Is it mandatory to submit pay slip? Because the company where I currently work do not provide us the pay slip.
Also do I need to have my own house. I mean under my name?

I am also in a Tier 2 General.

Kind Regards
Kumar

response at the end of your questions

7) bank statement needs to be original? or scanned? (Orignal)
13) do I need to attest my passport and visa copy??, if yes - form where can I attest these (colour copies, Attested by any solicitor)
14) I have pay slips in soft-copy? Do I need to send it in hard-copy (original)? (Hardcopies of either)
18) Currently, I am living in sharing house and don't have any tenancy agreement. Is it necessary to have tenancy agreement or landlord letter for dependents? (You need a property report that should say that you have appropriate space for your family on their arrival, also need the tenancy; landlord letter is beneficial but not necessary)

One more question?? How long do you think the process will take? Like in average..

Hello Everyone,

I am on tier 2 general visa. My wife applied for tier 2 partner visa and today she collected her passport with the visa approved. She applied from Karachi, Pakistan

The only concern is she got a 30 days validity visa expiring 31st October 2015, however, we clearly mentioned in the application form that the intended date of travel is 9th January 2016. Now my wife cannot travel this month. What should I do? Since its UK embassy mistake?

Can anyone please help me out?

Thanks

Regards

you cant apply more than 3 months in advance.
however this 30 day rule is controversial and i dont think u can do anything about it, except for applying for change of visa travel sticker, which i believe cost around £72 (?)

Thank you.

By the way just for everyone:

I just submitted my companys maintainence letter with the application. I didn't submit any payslips or bank statements. I don't know why people confuse the self by sending irrelevant documents because everything is clearly mentioned in the guidance. And there is nothing about payslips or bank statement if you are showing maintainace through company's letter

@Ahmarrules: Which documents did you submit for accommodation in UK? for example tenancy agreement, property report, or landlord letter?

I didn't find any information about the above documents in policy guidance, but here most of the people are asking to submit it.

Hope you are good. I didn't send any document for accommodation. Just my UK driving license copy which shows my Adress. Because when company is providing maintainence letter , you don't have to worry about anything. They don't care where you will live, they just want to see a permanent Job with tier 2 a rating sponsor and your marriage is real that's it.

I have seen people posting about so many irrelevant document like tenancy agreement.

If you have.a straight forward case don't worry about such document.

I just provided my job contract letter and family maintenance letter. No bank statement, no pay slip, no tendency agreement letter, no invitation letter etc

Thanks for your reply.

How about your passport and visa copy? Have you attested it? if yes, then from where?

What did you submit for proof of relationship? NADRA marriage certificate or orginal nikahnama (urdu with translation)?

Would it be possible to talk on phone sometime?

Property report - for Tier 2 dependents (wife + child)

Post by ukvisat2 » Thu Oct 08, 2015 10:24 am

I found that property report is neccessary document for tier 2 dependents (wife + child), but I didn't find anything in policy guidance. It would be great if anyone of you clear this ambiguity.

Thanks

Why do you think that it is necessary?
