Employment when my Visa approval is IN PROCESS

Hi All,

I am currently on Tier 2 General Visa expiring on 28th of Oct 2015. I have applied for the extension under Tier 2 General visa for the same company.

Currently my employer is now wondering what is my employment status if I don't get the visa before my current visa expiry date (28th Oct 2015) . Employer is wondering that is whether I am eligible to work if I don't get the passport an visa extension before the current expiry date.

Can anyone answer my query and direct me to a document from UKBA which states that I am eligible to work ?

Your existing visa conditions continue until your new visa decision is made/issued. See link below re Section 3C.
