NHS Surcharge Top up required

Post by raghu1043 » Thu Oct 15, 2015 10:17 am

HI all

I applied for tier 2 extension for another three years.
and i paid NHS surcharge of 600 for three years.
But yesterday i recieved email from UKVI saying top up required and asking me to pay for 5years ie 1000 GBP.
I applied only for three years and they asked me to pay for 5 years, will i get any refund?

What is the validity of your COS, 3 years or 5 years?

It is the CoS validity that is likely triggering the request for extra payment. Suggest wait for moonlight55, manci or one of the other mods to confirm.

There was recently a poster who also only wanted to apply for 3 year visa but CoS was for 5 years and the person was advised that it will be a 5 year visa if the CoS is that validity.

Then the CoS should have been issued for 2 or 3 years, not 5 years.

HI CR001

I received a letter yesterday frtom ukvi to pay Visa fee for total 5 years as my cos dates are for 5 years.
I contacted my hr and they added a sponsor note ( reduced cos dates to 3 years instead of 5) to my cos and they gave me a supporting letter stating the change.
I posted the documents to UKVI instead of paying 5 years fee.

Will they consider the change? or my application will be rejected?

Thanks

you should pay 200 as well on the save side and send employer leter too ... if they are not agree with the employer letter then they will reject your application as invalid .... in the safe side you have to pay 200 and send employer letter as well ..,,

if the accept the emplyer's letter then the 200 will be refund automaticaly into your account

because they only give 10 working days to emmend any ommisions
