Change of my daughter's surname

Please I need some help. My daughter is in Africa and when I joined my husband, I did mention her on the application form and I did the same when I was extending my spouse visa but I want her to join us in the Uk but I wanted to change her surname. Will this affect my application since the name will be different to the one I used on my application forms.

Its best to avoid discrepancies.
