Any one applying for extension with a UK Bachelor's Degree as proof of English - Please note that you MUST provide letter from the UK University confirming that your UK Bachelor's degree was taught in English!

Wales is one of the parts of the UK. Universities in the UK do teach degrees in the medium of Welsh.

You could have a BA (anrhydedd) Cymraeg gydag Ysgrifennu Creadigol from Prifysgol Cymru, Bangor for example. That would be a UK degree. It seems unfair to discount Welsh language skills though.

Let them make the IELTS (or an equivalent) test a requirement for ALL applicants, including those who graduated from British univs. My bet is not many of these would score that much better than students from other countries.

Communication from HO.

The guidance notes for the FLR(HSMP) form clearly state that if an applicant wishes to rely upon a Bachelors degree to demonstrate the English Language requirement, they are required to provide an original letter from the awarding body, which confirms the language of instruction. This provision applies in all circumstances regardless of the country in which the applicant studied.
