court of appeal

Post by innovation2000 » Sat Oct 24, 2015 3:56 pm

Dear Members and moderators
We are applying permission to appeal directly to COA as UT didn't grant us permission to appeal. Please advise on below,
1.Do we need to pay fee only for main applicants or dependents as well or if there is only one fee for one appeal?
2.What is the waiting time in the COA at the moment?
3.If any one recently applied to COA and permission has been granted then advise on waiting time for oral hearing?
4.If permission will be granted then there will be only one hearing or two hearings?

Really appreciate your help and thanks in advance
Best Regards

UT hasn't grant you to appeal. state the reason why? Maybe you grounds are too low.
waiting time is 7-9 Months for oral hearing.

If granted to appeal. you will have 3-4 chances.
a- interview by HO
b- change of decision by HO
c- informal hearing (which is never likely to take place)
d- actual hearing

UT judge refused the permission on the ground that our counsel at that time didn't rely on the grounds which our new counsel has submitted now.
As the submission was not made before the UT judge therefore there was no material error of law.
