Congrats Harry C

I sent an email inquiry last night got a reply 20 mins later saying the folowing

Thank you for contacting the UK Visas and Immigration International Enquiry
Service.

We understand that you would like to know about the current status of your
visa application. I have tracked the status and date of birth
and found that there are no current updates. This could be
because your application was submitted recently or the details that you
have provided above are incorrect.

If it is the former you may contact us at a later stage once our records
have been updated. We will be happy to give you the current status of your
application. If the information provided is incorrect then please provide
the 9-digit GWF number and the date of birth of the applicant.
Alternatively, once the process has been completed and a decision has been
made the visa application centre will be in contact as per process.

Now im a bit confused whats this mean

Thanks HarryC, tomorrow will be 40 days but I guess our case wasn't so straight forward hence why it is taking longer. Anyway hope your wife has a safe journey :) :)

Hi Harry,

Thanks for the wishes :)

Would you please share the valid from and valid to date of the vignette received?
Do they also tell the exact address of the nearest post office to collect the BRP?

Also say If I travel to uk just before 2 or 3 days of my vignette expiry date - would they still allow me to enter UK?

Is it necessary for the vignette to be valid till the date we receive the BRP card from the UK post office?

Congratulations Harry.

I have a quick question everyone. Appreciate your suggestions please.

I am applying for my spouse settlement visa in December. She has her Bachelors degree that was thought in English so I am planning to get a UK NARIC certificate. Which option should I be selecting on NARIC website?

Statement of Comparability / English Language Assessment? Please advice.

Divya the stamp on passport is only valid for 1 month
In the letter they said where to collect the BRP from which was my nearest post office i picked in the online application

the stamp on the passport is future date 1st Nov till 1st dec as we picked 1st nov our intended travel date
I am afraid you have to travel aithin 1 month period. And collect BRP in 10 days. There is a link which they told to refer if we dont travel in tht 1 month as we need to reapply

And AKUMAR , i wouldnt worry. I got this twice when i was checkin. Email service is rubbish. Dont rely
And andisha. Goodluck to u and thanks for wishes
Best wishes to all

Hi All,

Just spoke to UK NARIC team and the person said they only give English Language Assessment letter if the international degree matches to atleast UK Bachelrs degree (And he stressed Home Office is aware of this). So I will just apply for English Language Assessment letter. thanks guys.

Do VFS office send out separate email for collection of passport/application once the application is processed from Home office?

The processing time for the settlement visa is between 12-24 weeks

I don't even know why they said 12 weeks. That's 84 working days!!! So why does the vfs website say 31 to 40 working days
