Hi my application is on 5 years residency stamp 4
I applied on March 2014 I have 2young adult who were granted citizenship in 2014; we applied in the same time they were approved with in 6month for me its wa different they asked me further documents on September 2014 which I provided them its was about social welfare payment,
And as well my martial status and the 6 weeks of absence from the state that's all since nothing the same reply its been prepared to be submitted and today its final stage I'm a house wife and I am in care of an epileptic child.thanks

I have been living in this country witch I did my best to integrate in it I have never been in trouble at any time that what I'm very upset if we can say that specially in from of it children why all this delay as they if it not good characters or having some echoes it will affect it application and until now I couldn't finf an answers for this delays or what the echoes on my citizenship application

well no I didn't because I had a care allowance I'm in charge of an epeleptic child and I wasn't eligible only 19or 15 hours my husband is working and I was a house wife.

Currently are you working any hours or social welfare?
Reason I am asking if you fully depends on SW payments.
This could be the reason they delaying your application. End of the day they will approve.

Hi guys,

I was checking the status of my application 3 weeks ago (6 Oct) on the phone and was told that a letter sent to me 1st of September requesting extra docs. I actually didn't receive this letter and coincidentally knew about it when I rang them. The letter was reissued to me and I have posted the requested docs which I already enclosed when I submitted my application first time . The doc which I have resent was details of absence from the state. I sent my docs with registered post and I see it was received by INIS on 8 Oct. Now every time I ring INIS they ask me if I sent them the requested docs, for some reason my correspondence is not showing up in the system and I really don't know the status of my application. In my letter I requested INIS to send acknowledgement but nothing back from them. Any advice how to know the status of my application?

Applied: 29/6
Acknowledgement: 17/8
Requesting docs: 1/9 (letter seemed to be lost in post)
Replied back: 7/10

@melkadi you received a letter requesting extra docs, instead of a 2nd stage letter, is that correct? And also did you send the extra docs via registered post and tracked whether they have received the docs? If your answer to both the questions is yes then I would say you should hear from them soon as a confirmation that your application has entered 2nd stage.

I am wondering are you allowed to travel after you pay the fees and submit your gnib card?
Also if i submit the payment now, will i be called for the next ceremony? or i have to be in a queue?
Also any idea when is the next ceremony? Dec15/Jan16?

2nd letter 25/10/2015 (dated- 15/10/2015) asking my 3 residence proof name and address on it year 2012

No i send them 2 different bank statement ,ukba letter,and car insurnce papers and some bank letters posted date 27/10/2015 . Just confuse why they ask 2012 docs .i already submit all same documnets before as well'

Just like to know are these docs should be ok or can they ask some more as well'

If it is ok then what is next process.and when can i expect my approval letter plz confirm me thanks

i honestly do not understand what is going on with my application,i applied in october 2014 and got my second stage letter in febuary 2015,i contacted inis regarding the status of my application but was surprised when inis informed me that my application only became valid in febuary 2015 but since then i have been waiting for my approval but none so far, i called up the citizenship help line today and gave the lady my details which i now asked her the status of my application i asked her to tell me whats on the system regarding my application she checked and after a long pause she told me everything look so fine with my application but it hasnt gone to the minister yet and if they need any other documents they will contact me if not i will get my approval letter, please can anyone advise me , also should i be rest assured of getting my approval since she said everything looks so good .thanks

Applied around end of April 2015 and confirmation of application May 2015 and Approval end of Oct 2015.

My personal opinion is should not traveling without GNIB card.
I m gussing next ceremony wud be late December or middle January.

I got my approval letter this morning asking me to pay 950 Euros and submit Garda card.
Wonder if there will be a ceremony before 15 Dec 2015...as I'm travelling on 17 Dec 2015 until 14 Jan 2016.

Bit worried now, if I will miss the ceremony or If I can travel or not. I have already booked the tickets.

The next citizenship ceremonies will take place in The Convention Centre Dublin, Spencer Dock, North Wall Quay, Dublin 1 on Monday 14th December, 2015. Candidates will attend the ceremonies where they will take an oath of fidelity to the nation, receive their certificate of naturalisation and thereby become Irish citizens.
