Thanks for you quick response.

Good to hear that. Is that confirmed? does it require a change in visa status or something?

because it's less then 12 month (ICT short term)

a PPBS dependant is allowed to work (except as doctor/dentist in training)

It may sound silly, but ICT ST dependent is same as PBS dependent

right?

Visitor visas are for max 6 months stay but the main issue is not who the visitor is visiting, or indeed if s/he is just coming as a tourist, but the ECO needs to be persuaded that the visitor has strong ties to the home country (job, family, income, etc) and will return there after the visit

that really is the case, in my case my mom needs to visit for 3 months and then she has to go back.

what is the process for applying? can you point me to some documentation.

URGENT: Need to apply for ICT ST dependent visa - NEED HELP

Post by pradeepg » Fri Oct 30, 2015 9:57 am

Hi All,

Me and My son (1 year old) want to apply for ICT ST depedent visa, where my wife is main application.

We need to apply today but I have some wuestion on process & Documentation.

1. Can all 3 of us apply together for visa or do we have to wait for main applicant (my wife) to get visa stamped and then apply? It's important for us to go together as our baby is small.

2. Do we need any specific documents for our dependent visas from main applicant(my wife's) employer.
Her employer is not sponsoring us. we're bearing the cost. She will be getting an CoS. Do we need a different Cos from her employer? Do we need any cover letter from her employer?

3. Do we need any proof of accomodation, it'll be provided by main applicant's employer. Do we need any documentation for that.

4. Is it required to produce chats, call logs , messages etc? I have read it in the forum so asking.

5. Is it required for Me to produce my employment status in India? My employer in India has allowed me to Work from UK from home. Do I need to produce emails or something?

Please read the PBS Dependent Guidance. Most of your answers will be in there.

PBS Dependent Guidance (Click)

went thought the whole thing again, and m very confused.

At many places it mentions if you're applying along with main applicant. So I get answer to Question 1 as yes.

But right at the end, it says for evidence of maintenance
section: EVIDENCE FOR APPLICATIONS MADE AS THE DEPENDANT OF A PERSON WITH LEAVE UNDER TIER 1, 2 OR 5

it says Legally present in UK.
If we are applying together none of us are legally present in uk. Does taht mean, we only can produce UK bank account statements? which negates question 6.

I don understand if A rated sponsor certifies then we can apply together.

But that's not the case with us. We have the funds in our Indian Bank account

rest of the questions are not covered in the document. which means they are not required. Right?

Is my understanding correct?

1. You can apply together.

2. Nothing required from the sponsor.

3. Not required.

4. It's optional. Generally, its recommended when your marriage is recent or dependent is applying separately. I would suggest you provide your original marriage certificate + kid's birth certificate which will have parent's name.

5. Not required.

6. Indian bank statement is fine. If the balance is close to the minimum that's required, do check the conversion rate from oanda (the one which home office uses) to convert the amount in GBP. Home office will consider the amount in GBP only.

same is the case with my son's birth certificate. It's bilingual, Hindi and English one after another.

is that fine?
