Hello again, finally i got my certificate today.
The ceremony started at 12:45 and took more than 3 hrs. ex local mayor was there present and handed out the certificates. Pictures were taken, which costs £15 a piece, £25 for two or £30 for three of them ( you can pay cash or use card).
Other than that, people were dressed as they wished, mostly smart casual. Cameras were allowed.

Thats all can tell at the moment.
Now, its time for applying passport.

Applied on 08th of July on the basis of 10 years + 1 Year ILR and still waiting. I have noticed that first and second week applicant of June and July has to wait longer for their approvals.

HO has no mechanism of dealing applications in date order. This wait is very frustrating. I don't mind waiting if there is any way of tracking my application but this whole process seems like a lotto.

I have received a letter from HO today in which they have returned my special delivery envelope. Below is the wording,

Dear Mr *****

Please find enclosed your self addressed special delivery envelope.

As the certificates are issued by a different department i am unable to use this envelope.

Now this letter has made me really confused as i dont know what to make of it?

HO do send decisions in prepaid sepcial delivery envelope and i dont understqnd why my caseworker has sent it back?

Has someone received this kind of letter from HO before? Please help me understand it.

General correspondence is an automated batch mail system, the case workers don't print out and mail the letters themselves.

Getting bit worried now Most people with timeline same as mine has received approval. I'm thinking applicant's current nationality is playing a big part in this. Certain nationalities are given priority than other nationalities. My ILR was through Tier 1 (General).

Thanks for a reply.
Just incase if they refuse my application than they would need to send my original Life in the UK test back. They could have kept this envelope until a decision has been reached.

HO do not send certificates as they are given upon ceremony. I dont see a logic in sending this letter to me.
The letter is dated 30th October sent in 2nd class post received today 31st. Very fast for a 2nd class post.

Agony of the wait made worse by this letter as i have a feeling a decision letter has been sent separately.

Patience my friend patience...
Everyone is rushing to share the news of receiving their approval instead of thinking there is a whole process which takes ages to verify
You are still within the time line given by the HO
It might be down the corner and turn up any day in following days

Also the home office look into naturalisation applications individually which is obviously a time consuming thing so sit back and relax pray for the positive outcome whether it comes this week or this month

Once letter is received in most cases the council letter turned up with in two to three working days confirming the first available date for ceremony if u wish to book private probably £100-£175 depending upon the council

That's just out of order, I'm going g to write tomorrow and update forum I think you all should do the same.

Citizenship is a privilege and not a right. HO will take as long as they need to and do all the checks necessary before granting or refusing the privilege to people. Nationality law and immigration law are very different and follow different and more in depth checks and processes.

It's a lengthy debate but it comes under Hume right when you are settled some where legally, there was a bill passed not a long ago in which they said it's a privilege due to for those who are threat to country. If you have a look into Human right act I hope that will clarify it also there are other laws as well.
