ILR Extension - Baby Born in India

Post by Dhivi » Mon Oct 05, 2015 2:01 pm

Hello All,

I recently had a baby in India and now back in UK, our son has got ILR dependent VISA and this is expiring Dec.

Can someone please confirm what VISA we would need to apply for him? ( Father : ILR , Mother : ILR dependent)

Thanks,
Dhivi

There is a dependency on how you got your ILR.

Answering questions on this link https://www.gov.uk/settle-in-the-uk/y will provide you guidance

Include baby with mother's application.

Many thanks quadusa and Vinny !!

Meanwhile , my husband got his approval for naturalisation. I guess nothing changes from my application ( as i joined him after 2012).

This is going to be SET(M) for me and by baby , please correct me if i'm wrong.

If i'm just adding baby in my application, does that mean i pay IHS for both but application payment for one?

Kind Regards,
Dhivi

If you are extending your visa it is not Set(M) it will be form FLR(M) as you came after 2012.

Each applicant pays the health surcharge so it will be £500 each. The fee for FLR(M) is £649 per applicant (so £1298 for both of you) if applying by post. If applying in person, add the premium service fee.

One more question, my stay back in the country comes to 182 days , would that be an issue while applying for FLR M extension ?

Thanks,
Dhivi

No, but will need to be declared on Set(M) when you apply for ILR in a couple of years as absence is just slightly over 6 months.
