1st British Passport and Countersignatories

Post by Perdesi007 » Tue Nov 03, 2015 1:15 pm

Hi All,

I am going to apply for my first British pass next week but confused about Countersignatories section.

Will a mortgage adviser who works in bank customer services for mortgage recoveries be covered under " bank/building society official " or " financial services intermediary" ?

Can he sign my application for the passport?

If not then will a Personal License holder for alcohol be a suitable person to sign it?

Thanking you all in advance !!!

Both options sound ok as long as not related (to you), not your representative, not employed by HO, not an unexpired criminal & they have known you long enough.

If HMPO is not happy with your choice of referee they will ask you to nominate another.

Thank you noajthan for your quick response.

In fact both had been my referees in Naturalization application but the problem is personal license holder is out of country for a month. I was thinking to get it done by the one who works in bank Customer Services.
