Malik 88 wrote:Hi everyone I have a question regarding my case that I have applied for spouse visa and my wife is working full time income well over 18600 and we have a child as well but she is claiming housing benefit as she is living on his own in a flat and benefits for the child as well as she was entitled to these benefits after having this income as well.My question is can these benefits effect the case as she is earning the income more than the threshold (18600) and is entitled to these thanks in advance :(
This is what i have understood, according to the rules:
As long as your wife's income meets the 18600 requirement, whether she is in receipt of the following should not effect the application, that's her entitlement..

Appendix FM 1.7: Financial Requirement
August 2015
 Income-related benefits: Income Support, income-related Employment and Support
Allowance, Pension Credit, Housing Benefit, Council Tax Benefit or Support (or any
equivalent) and income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance.
 The following contributory benefits: contribution-based Jobseeker’s Allowance,
contribution-based Employment and Support Allowance and Incapacity Benefit.
 Child Benefit.
 Working Tax Credit.
 Child Tax Credit.
 Universal Credit.
 Unemployability Allowance, Allowance for a Lowered Standard of Occupation and
Invalidity Allowance under the War Pensions Scheme.

The above will not be considered when assessing the application.
So that means I shouldn't be worried about this if she is claiming these after telling all her circumstances and applied for the spouse visa and full filled all the requirements. :)

By the grace of Almighty Allah my Visa has been granted on this morning on my chase email .

On 1 November 2015 I did make a request for escalation and in return a got an email next day that it will take 5 days to give me a proper response .However, this morning I have received further email from VAF Global confirming that processed visa application has been received to the Visa centre and today at same time
my wife had a call from Fedex Karachi to collect her passport which she had done so and the Visa was granted .

Many thanks to all and admire precious advises from Adnan.

My advise to all applicants is that please do not wait for their response for processed email because they
do not notify straight away. It will be wise, if you chase for the response from them over the phone or email.

With regard to acknowledgment, they do send most of the times that 'case has been received.'

Brother any news regarding official processed mail?

If you are asking me then it's a negative. I emailed them on the 26th October and got an unofficial processed email upon Escalation and I am still to hear from them officially.

I am hoping in sha Allah tomorrow or by the end of this week I get an official confirmation.

Online application: 4th August
Biometric: 10th August
Documents sent: 19th August
Last escalation: 26th Ocotber-processed
Waiting for official response...

I also got an unofficial processed email just today. Keep us updated if you hear anything, looking at past comments the longest someone has had to wait for the official email is about two weeks.

Thanks sostressed and Confusedd_786

In sha Allah a positive response is on its way for all.

Does anyone know if you need a tb test result back which you sent along with the other documents to show at the airport?

Are they sending those results back in the post with other paperwork?

@monadii unofficial email is when u escalate and in response you get a response and official is when they send you email without Escalation.
