Yes, I faxed it this morning but so far have been unsuccessful in getting anything other than a busy signal when I call. Will start hitting the redial button first thing in the morning. Its the being out of work right now knowing I have approval to work here but not being able to prove it that is driving me crazy

Yes that is true because most of the employers does'nt know about HSMP and all they want to hear is "I am eligible to work" instead of explanation .

And we cant tell them that unless our passports are stamped . Very tricky

I think u should keep redialing atleast for 10-15 min I had the same problem with HSMP team and from my experience I am successful only after trying for more than 10 min.

All the best with you FLR :)

Hi Everyone

I wore out my finger hitting the redial button this morning and finally got thru.

My urgent request was received and the very nice woman confirmed that it was indeed in the urgent queue. She went to check the requested passport return date currently being processed and couldnt find my request. She advised me to ring back on Monday as she thought this meant it might be with a case worker who has not yet filled in the completion date.

My fingers...and toes are crossed.

What date did you ask for your passport to be returned by?

I sent an urgent treatment form yesterday by email & fax asking for my passport to be returned by 16 December.

It seems to me that the urgent queue has abated atleast for the moment. They were able to process 7 days worth of processing last week and I think next monday's update should also show some good progress on the FLR processing dates.

I sent my fax on monday noon and I had my passport on wednesday morning although I had asked for the passports to be returned by the 17th.

drewchad

I requested my passport be returned by 23 Dec giving them 2 weeks altho I really wanted to put next week  But it does appear that they are being looked at as soon as they come in. The woman went off to find out what date they were currently processing, I heard her talking to a fella but couldnt make out what, then she came back on and told me to ring on Monday. She did not tell me which date they were currently on.

If mwazir and my exeriences are anything to go by, yours should be under processing too.

Can you please suggest what's the best option for me? My HSMP EC expires on 10th March 2005, as such I have to submit the docs on about 10th Jan. My client just told me they will be happy if I resolve my visa problems quite urgently as they require me to travel extensively in January. Based on your understanding of the current processing times etc., advise pleae if I shall get the paperwork done now and send the application for FLR right after X-mas along with a purchased ticket and a letter from the client hoping to get my passport within a couple of weeks, or do all my travelling in January and submit the docs afterwards? (I personally do not prefer this option as the HO current requirement for submisson for FLR is 2 months prior to the visa expiry). Thanks!

I dont know if you are allowed to apply for further leave to remain so early. Best is to ask the in country team.

What you can do is submit your application on the 10th as planned but fax them the urgent treatment form and a letter from your client stating the travel urgency. The HO should respond immediatly. In my case the passports where returned in 48 hours after faxing them the urgent treatment form.

Phone Numbers

Post by Xenonk » Wed Dec 15, 2004 11:14 am

Hi All,
I sent my urgent treatment for last week to these fax numbers:
01142743101 & 01142593749
And I am trying to call the guys to confirm my urgent treatment form. But when I called the number 01142743304, the guy gave me a different number to call which is 01142591894 but it is always busy.
Do you have any other numbers? Could you please give me the number that you succeed to talk with a member of home office to confirm if the urgent treatment form is in process.

Thanks,
Xenon

Xenonk,

I think marr1a has tried the same number. Its strange that they gave u another number.

But I think you should try the following numbers again.

Telephone: 0114 274 3304 or 0114 274 3305

And also try to mail them. This is the mail address you have to use.

Ops2.In-Country@ind.homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk

Hope this helps.

I faxed them the urgent treatment form at this number 01142743101 and got a confirmation from them on 0114 274 3304 or 0114 274 3305 on the 6th of Dec. Not sure why they gave you a different number. As per FLR(IED) this is what they have published

Xenonk

When I called the 3304 and 3305 numbers and finally got thru, the woman said they weren't processing FLR urgents in that building and was about to give me another number...until she realised my app was for HSMP. She said, oh yes, we do that here, hold on, let me check.

Perhaps you should call back and tell them your FLR app is for HSMP (if that is the case).

Good luck

Finally

Post by Xenonk » Wed Dec 15, 2004 12:42 pm

Thanks mwazir and marr1a,
I called this number 01142594074 and finally I talked with someone. She said that my extension has been approved and sent to me yesterday by special delivery.
Once you connect to them, they are very polite.

Many congratulations :)

Thats my experience too, they are extremly polite. If the special delivery has been sent yesterday then it should reach the address you mentioned today (if it hasnt already). They will require a signature before they deliver it. Is anyone at your home address to recieve it?

mwazir,

Although i thought of waiting till jan yesterday I changed my mind and I sent urgent treatment form and i worte a cover letter as well. Stating that although i got the HSMP approval letter the stamping is going to take 3 more months and in between i cant plan anything till the receive my passports.I said i had plans to move to another job some time in jan i asked them to give urgent treatment for my FLR application and asked to return it before christmas. i.e 24.

Just now called them and guess what :D they considered it now the application is in process from yesterday evening ... hopefully i will receive my passports in this week. 8)

Thanks for the valuable information u gave. Now this will defnitely help me to plan some thing from jan ... looking for new contracts ...etc
