EU1 circumstances changed!need help!!?

Post by Danny65 » Sun Nov 08, 2015 9:24 pm

I'm on temporary stamp4 decision due in January.my wife's registered here as self employed.I've got bank statements and invoice book for past 5months that I need to submit but last week my wife had a little accident and broke her ankle I took her to hospital got hospital bills and prescription to prove that now she can't even walk so she can't work and I work full time so it's hard to look after her and work as well so I'm thinking of sending her back to England for few days as she's got her fam there...just wanna know will it effect my decision in January as she won't be working for 8weeks coz doctor adviced her complete bed rest?
I'd appreciate ur help

In law that should be ok. But this need to be explained to the department. Her worker status is retained when she is temporarily unable to work due to accident

Thanks for you reply obie...
So do you think I should inform the department or not say anything coz I think you need 6months bank statements and invoice and I've got 5months plus I'm working full time I can attach my wage slips and job letter?

It is not about your treaty rights but your wife's.

What you do is of no importance to the department

Hi Obie! just wondering if it is 2 weeks to get the GNIB card? because we went to the Garda office, did the process, but they said they have requested our GNIB card and will be able to collect in 2 weeks :( I heard people got their card in the same day  why is that?

Try not to hijack the thread of others in future.

It is 2 weeks for people who are not fortunate to live in Dublin county.

For other regions it is 2 weeks.

When Is the sixth month anniversary of your application?

Stamp 4 is usually issued for 6 months.

To my understanding, the duration of stamp 4, does not determine the time a decision will be made .

Obie
My 6months "anniversary" mentioned above and I ain't no solicitor you see this is what I've heard and my temporary stamp came after 3months and expiring after 3months so that makes 6months doesn't it?

I am dealing with a case, where the department issued a Temporary stamp 4 after 2 months of application. Temporary stamp 4 valid for 6 months and 2 weeks.

However the due date for the expiry of the temporary stamp 4 is 3 months after the due date for decision on the application.

Thanks for your reply Obie.

Mid of January is my 6 months completion and I have to wait another 2 weeks to get the card so I will only have 2.5 months visa  after long wait.. but is there any possibility that we go to Dublin and get the GNIB card from there?

Hi everybody on this thread. So basically my Wife and I submitted my form and documents to the EU treaty section on the 20th of October and we have not received my documents back or even an acknowledgement letter back. Is this still the norm as they take forever? And i was an asylum seeker before me and my partner got married. Could this be the reason for delay? Waiting is killing us as my partner would like to visit her native country in Africa for Xmas(she is british). Kindly someone should please help me out here. :|
