Status of Dependents

Post by Explorer0055 » Tue Nov 10, 2015 12:14 pm

Dear members,

I am new to this board and need urgent advice regarding my situation. I am currently on Teir-1 General visa, Me and my wife are applying for ILR next month hopefully at some PEO. I have 2 children both are on dependent visa as well.

Now the dilemma I am facing is what will be the status of my children. What will happen if we need to travel urgently to home country after getting our ILR. Are my children able to use their existing dependent visas, will they still be valid if I am on ILR.

I am really confused. I am asking this as we might need to visit my parents who are not keeping well.

If someone could advise I would be really thankful.

Many thanks for your time.

Their visas are still valid and they can travel. Are the children UK born?

Thanks for the reply.

Yes, they were both born in the UK. does it make any difference with them being born here ?

They have an entitlement to register as British and for this they do not need ILR. They should be fine to travel as long as they re-enter the UK before their visas expire.
