My prays worked.

I applied for daugther's MN1 : 12th July 2015.
Acknowledgement letter & Fees Debited : 15th July 2015 Biometrics letter recieved and done : 29th July 2015
Date of Approval:no letter received
Date of registration certificate: 12/11/2015

No Update. Really Frustrating. what checks they are doing for 2 months baby and how long ?

you can apply through check and send service. It officially says takes three week but you can get passport 7-10 days. Check the post office near you and get the forms. you can pop in any time in post office and apply.
I am going to apply tomorrow.

Congratulations to all who got certificate!
I applied for son in May and still waiting, My mother is not well and she wanted to see his grand son who never met her since he born, I tried all possible ways but no response or update, nothing work for me .
- I send 4 emails to different email addresses, no reply .
- I wrote letter and post them along with my mother's health certificate, no response.
- My local MP send letter on my behalf with all my correspondence, no reply.
- I call them, spoke with case worker. She didn't gave me any update.
So, helpless I pray no one stuck like me and get their certificates soon- ameen. one thing is sure home office dam care about your application, your family situations, your travel arrangements.

I don't think the above is completely accurate; on the post office website it says up to 6 months for a first time passport (which I'm assuming it is the case). The 3 weeks deadline is more for a renewal ...

I am still waiting for my girls certificates since June. But I do believe that you can use fast track service to get the Passport in less than a week.

You should be able to ring the UKBA and use option for over 6 months??

Approval received 9th Nov (dated 5th Nov).

Now waiting for certificate.

Hi,
Fuzail is right you can use post office services or fill the form online and get your referee to sign . I Did used the online way ( I filled the form online then printed it and got my referee to sign) for my Daughter after she got her MN1 Approval last month. I got her passport in 8 days after i posted it. and I paid only for normal services.
There is no one day services to get the first child passport.

There is a fast track facility availabe for kids when they apply for their first UK passport.
And NO one day service for adults who need to attend interivew for first their passport

Hello all,

Finally after anxious waiting, today I got the certificate for my 1 yr old son. I haven't received any letter confirming the issuance of certificate. I had used NCS for the application and therefore all the original documents were with me. Below are the details:

Eligibility criteria: section 1(3)
Method of application: NCS
Date of appointment with NCS: 07/07/2015
Date of debit of fees: 15/07/2015
Date of receipt of acknowledgement: 17/07/2015
Date Biometric letter received: 21/07/2015
Date Biometric given: 21/07/2015
Date of receipt of approval: None
Date of receipt of registration certificate: 13/11/2015 (Issue date 06 November 2015)

I think 4 months is the average time and once that is passed then certificate can arrive anytime.

Now I need to apply for my 1 yr old son passport. What is the quickest way to get it? Same day service/fast track service?
