UK Tier 2 ICT Short Term (Dependent) VISA: Rental Agreement?

Post by anishbdj » Tue Jan 20, 2015 11:07 am

Hello Everyone,

I am living in UK. My wife will be applying for dependent visa from India.

I want to know if I need a tenancy agreement as a document for visa application?

I won't be able to get hold of a tenancy agreement. That's why I am asking this question.

Other documents that I have collected are:
My Docs -
1. Letter from employee.
2. 3 months bank statement
3. 3 months pay slips (I started my job 3 months ago only)
4. Copy of all pages of my passport
5. Marriage Certificate
6. TB test
7. Leave letter of my wife from her employer.

Please let me know.

Thanks

As per the guidelines, tenancy agreement is not a mandatory document. I've read cases in this forum where the visa was approved without one. However, it will be good to submit some documents related to your relationship (such as chat logs, whatsapp, call logs). I've seen few cases being rejected if the case worker has any doubts on the relationship. Again, its not mentioned as mandatory items but better to be safe. Its applies since this is the first time they'll be applying as a dependent.

Thanks alot friend,

Also, I have changed my accomodation here in london as my wife is coming.
So in my bank account the address is the one where I was living initially and now if I provide the rental agreement proof of new accomodation then it will create a confusion.
So please suggest.

Go to the bank's local branch, get the address updated and ask them to print the latest bank statement with the new address. It takes a day to do it. I've done it before.

Hi anishbdj,

Just wanted to know if your wife got the dependent visa?
jsut wanted to clarify,
letter for employment is your CoS, which has no mention of dependents right?
7. Leave letter of my wife from her employer. ? How important is this?
