Congratulations everyone! It's quite encouraging to hear so many letters coming in.

We applied on 15th June, still no avail. I am beginning to wonder if they have lost my letter.. I have called and emailed, and there is no impact. Getting very impatient..

Thanks Iqbal.

Its now 5 months and I really start wondering what is the fault with the application.

I am on ILR and my husband is on Visa. we applied through NCS where the Lady told it may take 6 months ..to which we know that the maximum period is 6 months..

Do they process only after 6 months ??

I feel paying huge money and getting no good service is just crazy.

Cheers
Nikki

No Response frfom Home Office. Firstly they wont listen.

Now they have started telling Service Level of 6 months does not necessarily mean we will get ..It may get extend.

When asked how long. no answer.

Without taking application details we were told it is under consideration, else Home Office will contact you.

Whats wrong with this department inspite of taking huge money.

I think that Money should go out from account only when the decision is made..so that they work religioulsy.

Finally received the certificate today! The certificate was dated 15-Nov (Sunday) Which means that they have been working on weekends, as some one pointed out earlier. It's just past five months of date of application.

I really wish everyone who is waiting for the letters, that you receive them soon. I know the pain of waiting. All the best!

My timeline
I got my ILR in March 2015

Applied directly for my son on July 27
Fees deducted 7 AUg
recieved acknowledge & bio req 12 Aug
Bio done 21 Aug
Recieved letter 18 November....still waiting for the certificate though

I would like to say it might be helpful getting the background to my story. If you read my previous posts you ll get the full gists but i will summarise it here
My hubby and son all legal residents. in Oct 2013, i was 9yrs 2 months plus - applied for FLR 7 yr discretionary as our son was 7 yrs plus. it got declined, went thru FTT, UTT (application and hearings were thru solicitors involving thousands of pounds) . Whilst waiting for the decision of the UTT (they delayed in sending their decision by 3 months) i applied for my ILR (oct 2014) as i was 9yrs, 11 months and 2 wks.
UTT upheld HO's decision and hubby and son appealed to the High court. My ILR got approved in March 2015 and now my son's MN1 has been approved.
I know that my God that has done mine and my son, would complete my husband's and that of everyone else waiting and trusting GOD.

*************2nd Child MN1 GOOD news to share but with a problem****************

Eligibility criteria: section 1(3)
Method of application: NCS Manchester 2nd child: 01/07/2015,
Date of debit of fees: 07/07/2015
Date of receipt of acknowledgement: 10/07/2015 (Dated 08/07/2015)
Date of receipt of biometric enrollment letter: 11/07/2015 (Dated 08/07/2015)
Date of enrollment of biometric: 14/07/2015
Date of receipt of approval: 18/11/2015
Date of receipt of registration certificate: 18/11/2015
Date on Registration Certificate: 16/11/2015

Now the problem is in certificate they write Section 3 (1) but i applied under Section 1(3).

My Child born in uk and i believe section 3(1) is for the child who born outside uk.

What to do now? DO i need to send the certificate back to them as it stated in the letter that i need to return it if any details r incorrect.

Before looking at this forum, I was thinking the whole process will take few weeks as it is fairly straight forward, compared to other immigration applications. Now I know I have to be patient and wait for things to happen. But, my general feeling is that HO taking 6months for this process is ridiculous, especially while charging application fee of £749.
In other immigration applications, when they say the process can take UPTO 6months - but the majority of the applications get processed in 2-4months and only few cases take 6 months. In this particular application (MN1), the majority seems to be getting their results in about 5-6months. That is a clear indication that HO treat this application category as low priority. But, this delay affects every single family involved. Is there anything that can be done to flag this up?
