Got all my documents back today together with the approval letter. The letter says that I should wait (two weeks) for the local council to send me an invitation to attend the ceremony. Happy days!! My case took 5 months. I was a straight forward case, fulfilling all the requirements but still took 5 months. Hang on in there guys, it will come!
Hi Kashif,mkashifakram wrote:Hi Guys,
I have finally received my approval letter today. Few things I need to mention here, first if you have applied in may, do contact your MP and get them involved. Secondly you can contact UKBA for an update but i will highly recommend do not abuse this email address by sending them emails which are not yet close to 6 months period. UKBA do reply within 24hrs of sending the email to this email address NationalitySupportTeamFMT@homeoffice.gsi.gov.ukmy friends and i have contaced UKBA via this email and they replied back with in 24hrs with the application status.
If someone need anymore info, feel free to contact.
Thanks,
Kashif
It could be a general/standard reply plus as you said you applied in 3rd week of June, so its simple you are inquiring about status well before the 6 month announced processing time so no doubt bound to receive a standard reply.kamran7 wrote:Hi I sent email to different email address they sent me reply in 7days that we can not process your application in 6 month we will process in next 3 to 6 months if not we will require more time with your application.
Any one advice is this normal reply they sent via email . Applied third week of June

"Thank you for your correspondence about your application for naturalisation as a British citizen, which was received on 19 May 2015. I apologise for the delay in responding.
I am sorry that it is taking longer than we would wish for your application to be processed and that you feel our service did not meet your expectations on this occasion.
As you may be aware, our service standard is that we will complete 100% of workable and straightforward cases within six months. The definition of a workable case, and what we expect from our customers, is available on our website at: http://www.gov.uk/government/organisati ... r-services. Where further information is required, the case will not be classed as workable, and may take longer to decide.
We expect to make a decision on your application within the next 3 – 6 months, but we will write to you again if this is not going to be possible. Please note we will contact you with further updates and can advise that you do not need to contact us again unless your circumstances change significantly."
