@Sarah786

Your husband will have to collect the BRP from the post officewhose address would be given on the letter sent along with the visa. There would also be a date mentioned from which the BRP would be available for collection also he ll have to collect it within 10 days after arrival in the UK.

Can anybody tell me how long would the documents will tale to reach me. Its the 9th day since I am granted visa and still have not got my documents back.

Hello All,

I will be applying for the UK immigration within a few weeks InshaAllah. Just wanted to ask what is the best way to send supporting documents?
  • Should I put the documents in a ring binder or just make a package and submit?
Would it be a good idea to mark clear segments such as Applicant information / Sponsor information / Financial information etc in the supporting documents?
Lastly, do I need to put the GWF no. on the top right of the VAF4A Appendix 2 form?
Thanks.
A.

Hi, I also received a not straightforward email and that my application won't be considered in standard time however it was exactly 12 weeks on Monday and today my husband received a collection email. I was also really worried thinking it will take long etc, but it was processed in standard time, don't really understand what they class as not straightforward

I dont know whats the best way to go about that but my husband put everything in a ring binder. The documents need to be arranged in the following order:
Application form and appendix 2; English language evidence; relationship documents; maintenance documents; accommodation documents.

Its best to make separate sections with front sheets bearing these headings. Write GWF on each and every document so that in case they lose or misplace something, they could match it up to ur file. Best to include a checklist or table of contents as well which will show a complete list of what you have included in your file.
Best of luck.

It most likely doesn't mean your case isn't straightforward, it just means that they are busy and can't get the case sorted within the 12 week limit. Be patient, insha'Allah your visas will be granted.
Yes you are right and it may be different for each application as they say they want to verify some documents and depending on how quickly they get them verified. I see your Biometrics day same as mine and sorry for the refusal. Do you mind sharing what was the reason(s) for refusal and have you appealed or planning to reapply..
I've reapplied, reason for refusal was financial requirements because I submitted my evidence based on biometric date and everything got messed up because I was using Category A plus savings.

I am unable to view private messages. When I received my passport there was this letter attached to it which stated that my application has been successful nd my stay is valid to a time given. Plus it had the information related to BRP which is Biometric Resident Permit.
I guess ur letters is missing nd you should give them a call nd enquire about it.

If you submitted the online application on the 8th, how did it get to the applicant for their biometrics by the 9th? Or can you send it before you submit it? Thanks.

I paid for everything etc on the 8th and next stage was booking the biometrics. My wife had to take her passport and print the online form, which she did and signed. The next slot was for the next day so i booked it. Then she sent the signed form to me and that took about 4 days via dhl and then i sent the docs from
Here .
