Employer's tier-2 license renewal -- Action item for me?

Hi

I have been working on a tier-2 general visa since last 2 years. Recently, my employer's license to grant CoS for tier-2 general visa expired which they have now renewed. I cannot find any information on what should I, the employee who has availed the CoS for 2 years now with my employer, do?

Do I need to re-apply for the tier-2 general visa with a new CoS (that my employer's renewed license would generate)? Will I need to make an application as if I have changed jobs? Can I keep working in the meanwhile? What are the timelines for getting the new visa if at all I need to re-apply?

your question makes no sense at all.
are u still working for same employer or changing employer.
If not changing, then renewal of licence has got nothing with cos which u used to apply your leave.

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I am still working with the same employer. I am told by my employer that when they renewed their license, they received a new CoS (which is different than the one that I used to apply for tier-2 general visa 2 years ago). Hence the query: whether I need to re-apply for tier-2 visa with the new CoS.

Please let me know if anything else is not clear.

You are on valid visa this has nothing to do with you. My employers license has been expired from last 6 months and we did check with UKBA, it has nothing to do with the employee. If the license has been revoked or cancelled then you are ion danger otherwise you are free.

Just wanted to know whether your company got visited by UKVI and what they check . because we are in a process of renewing our company sponsor licence.

As fas as I know, nobody visited our company. The renewal happened online.

Thank very much Kjain. Have they ever been visited your company. recently they visiting lots of sponsors to check whether they carry out their sponsor duties. Also i heard they usually visit if they sponsor more than 2 or 3 employees. i would highly appreciate if you share ur experience according to this subject

Dear community

My employer has acquired a new CoS for me. My job remains the same, same employer, same function, same salary. Do I still need to apply for a fresh visa? I am confused because of the wordings in the various documents on UKBA's website. There is no place where it's clearly written whether I need to make a fresh application (or not) if just my employer renewed their license and got a new CoS for me.

Please help me understand if I need to make a fresh visa application or not.

now that u have new cos, u have to apply for new visa, and pay IHS fee as well.
