3 year Kids Nursery allowance from Government.

Hi,

Our 3 year old goes to Nursery and she is now eligible to receive the free nursery hours as per UK government rules. I just wanted to check if claiming that counts against ILR? does the free hours for childcare come under public fund?

Please advise.

Sorry for being pedantic. I see no specific discussion in the document to nursery or early education being allowed.

I do see that it is NOT in the following list and hence that is the reason it is allowed?:

• housing and homelessness assistance
• housing benefit

• personal independence payment
• severe disablement allowance
• social fund payment
• state pension credit
• universal credit
• working tax credit

It is allowed, it is not a public fund. It is issued through child care vouchers usually which is done through employers and might be a small salary sacrifice.
