ICT tier 2 short term to Long term

Can anyone help?

Hi All

I read that I've to be in UK to get my ICT visa changed from ICT short term to ICT long term and it has to be done before my visa expires. Is is correct?

Also my short term ICT tier-2 expired in October, can this be extended to ICT long term from India now?
