Are you able to get a referral to & a supporting letter from a registered NHS consultant to back up your case?citizen161 wrote:Hi Guys,
My partner was granted ILR last year with exemption from Language requirement due to mental health issues and now when applied for Citizenship applications she attached an uptodate letter from GP which explains that she still have same health issues but this time HO refused her application saying that they are not convinced and looking for further details. Her GP already wrote about her condition and also said that he don't think she will be better in near future I am not sure now that what other evidance or document should we sent to HO. Obviously we can ask Gp to do another letter but how better or helpful that would be God knows.
If anyone have any experience or insight please share that how we can get over this.
Thanks
I am not sure of timeline involved;citizen161 wrote:Thanks much for your advice.
Is there a deadline to reply by when asking for 'Reconsideration of the deciosion to refuse'. As that would be concerning as it would take time to arrange referral and support letter from consultant.
Regards
In that case suggest you write to HO & advise them of the pending appointment & the timeline involved.citizen161 wrote:Thanks for your advice. I could not find anywhere in the guidelines and on the form. Will try to find out further in the meantime appericiate if anyone have any information.
Secondly got appointment with the consultant on 22 December and received this letter of refusal on 19th of November so its going to be over 28 days least.
Any guidance will be much appreciated in this matter
Thanks
I think the approach you are taking, with consultant's letters is appropriate.citizen161 wrote:Hi Guys
Got a letter from treating consultant to send along reconsideration request. Would it be wise to state that my partner has attempted to attend classes and sit in for lituk test previously but its beyond her mental capacity; as she has failed the lituk twice and did not cope with the classes for B1. We are attching consultant letter, Gp letter and some historical hospital letter. Should I(as a partner) write a supporting letter to explain her condition or better go with Drs letters.
Thanks
