NCS Service + Travel + BRP Card

Dear Friends

I am applying for my naturalisation via NCS Service on 07/12/2015.
My travel out of country for vacation is on 24/12/205.

AN Guide suggest the BRP Card will be returned back to me

If you have previously enrolled your biometric details and been issued with a
biometric residence permit, you must include this with your application.
You will not be issued with a new biometric permit, but your current biometric permit
will be returned to you

Should I send my BRP Card ( Original) along with NCS Application?
How long does it usually take to get back the BRP Card?
or should I postpone my NCS Service to January 2016?
