I have been a silent reader of this forum . i have applied for Spouse visa on 6 Sep and bio on 11 sep and i have received " Not straight forward" email on 29 November can any one please guide me what does this email means and if its anything to be worried about?
Thanks alot in Advance
That is exactly 12 weeks since your online application, which suggests that it is a generic email. They must have setup a rule that it automatically sends out an email after 12 weeks are up.

I don't think it means that your case is not straightforward, it's just a way for them to tell you we are running behind.
really hope it is as u say

Today is 91 days since my wife had her biometrics done in Mirpur. I have escalated the case twice and I keep getting told that "it has yet to be assessed by ECO". I am totally saddened that we are now in week 16 and still no news from UKVI. We applied online on 16 July 2015.

Does anyone know what is the maximum time they can take to process the visa applicatiom?
Online Application: 16/07/2015
Biometrics: 28/07/2015
Delayed Email Received: 13/09/2015
Escalated: 01/10/2015
Escalted: 23/11/2015
VISA GRANTED: 23/12/2015!!!!

@rashadjee

Have you tried calling them? If not perhaps you could?
The Maximum time for Mirpur is 120 days according to their website.

Wishing you all the best. Please do keep us updated. May Allah grant your wife's visa very soon.

Sadly it takes more than 120 working days at the moment. On all VAC centers in Pakistan, 99% of cases are processed in 120 working days and not 100% as before. I have been waiting for more than 6 months to hear about the outcome of my application. I don't know of anyone on the forum to have waited this long.. Best of luck as our applications have fallen in the hands of God knows what bunch of incompetent and a** h**** ECOs.....

To share your time line with all ur posts:

1. go to ur user control panel (should be on top of screen)
2. click profile
3. click edit signature
4. put in ur time line
5. click submit

That should do it.

I have received the IHS refund in my bank account, so looks like mine was a refusal.

I haven't received any processed email or anything just waiting on why the rejected now.

IHS have also been refunded back to my account yesterday.
And I have been very stressed since then.
We also haven't received any official processed or collection email yet.
I don't know what could be the reason as didn't receive any call for interview or they didn't ask for any document.

NO I don't think there is a limit and they are under no obligation to conclude the case in a limited time. They do say that they have service standards and aim to process 90-95% settlement applications in 12 weeks and 100% in 24 weeks/120 working days, but they are lagging behind and failing thier own "service standards"

@Go0612 I had an interview last week they asked me lots of questions about my application, so could be on answers I gave, but not sure. Is this your first application? The fact that we know the application has been rejected, and to now how to wait for their reply isn't fair. They should hurry up and give back the docs so we can move on to next steps.

@khan1224960 I haven't received any email yet so think they will take a week or two before my husband can go an collect.

Yes, it's my first application, and this wait is killing.
But what could be done, want to see ASAP what they have objected and how we gonna deal with that.

Keep me in your prayers and Wish you and everyone best of luck.
