Help line is useless I am a UK citizen and debatin whether to move abroad. This country is so slowand unhelpful!!
I'm Australian and my husband is British. He's moved back here from being in Oz for over 20 years. I must admit...the government system here is antiquated and painful (comparing it to Australia - even down to getting a licence or tax file number / NI number) and immigration from the EU is a huge problem causing loads of problems and discrimination against other non-EU immigrants. Good luck with it. I hope it comes soon for you.[/quote]

Yup I'm hoping to. When did you send yours off?

Well basically my partner is from New Zealand so he didn't need a IHS reference number, pretty stupid they asked for it. I sent them a letter of the email saying he was exempt. Even when I rung UKVI they said he didn't have to pay. STUPID PEOPLE.
Seems to mean UKBA can't even do their job correct, never mind send things out on time.
They also state on the application they email you with updates, we haven't received one email and yet they can't even update you over the phone 16 weeks now and nothing.
Has anyone else had an update??

Hello Every One.

I am on ILR on long residency and i have applied for my wife as spouse visa (FLR M). Previously she was on my Tier 1 dependent and her visa expiry is March 2016. I have applied on Premium services and provide them the all documents.
My Wife is on payroll of my company which is running properly and two years old company. every thing went well but they ask for further documents regarding my company:
Last 12 Month company bank st.
Last year company set of accounts
Last 12 months My personal Bank st.
all service contracts between my company and clients.

Is this the normal practice or this is new in this FLRM Catagory.

Kindly advice me on this as they gave us two weeks to respond.

Many Thanks

My wife applied for a Visa on the 12th of October, Completed biometrics a week after that and now been waiting over 8 weeks. Were meant to be going away a week on Saturday to visit my wifes family who she has not seen for over 2 and a half years (they are from New Zealand)

I called the office and they are absolutely rubbish and provide no updates. I feel really disappointed for my wife and dont know what to do??

Can anyone help?

Thanks

Adam

I have called...numerous times over the last few days...all they say is the application is being processed and no other updates can be given.

I am really gutted for my wife as its unlikely she will be able to see her family for another couple of years...tickets to NZ cost an absolute fortune.

Trying to get hold of my MP...impossible to get hold of them too.

Here's our timeline for renewal for second stage of wife's FLR (m)

Application sent to HO via Special Delivery: 7/10/15
Application received and payment (via CC) taken: 9/10/15
Acknowledgement letter dated 15th Oct received: 17/10/15
Biometric request letter dated 16th Oct received: 19/10/15
Biometrics submitted at PO: 23/10/15
Docs Received 23/11/15
BRP 24/11/15

Great result - as we didn't submit latest payslip or bank statement (sent eight months' historic - Jan 15-Aug 15)

Best of luck to all.

My partner is from New Zealand also, he applied on the 17th August and nothing since. He did his bio metrics on the 26th August, no updates or anything. Called and they've sent nothing out not even made a decision yet.
Good luck everyone.

Im guessing it is to visit family...The system is an absolute farce to be honest...i asked to get a refund on Visa and do it in person and pay the extra cost of it but they said i can withdraw and pay again, but there will be no refund.

I've been everywhere tried everything, it won't come without them doing it. Only they can do it, I've even been to solicitors and they can't do anything because it's in their hands
