Skills for Life and life in the Uk requirement

Post by tinux » Sun Nov 25, 2007 9:55 pm

Hi

There seems to be a confusion about the two

if one does Esol skills for life courses is that work toward citizenship requirement? the website says so but the college are not sure they said the course must contain citizenship material. The Ho are not sure either they are asking the college to confirm that

Hiya,
a Skills for Life ESOL course does not necessarily mean work towards citizenship. It depends on each individual course. Some have Citizenship and Living in the UK built into the curriculum. I teach an ESOL course which is called Living in the Uk and this contains citizenship materials.

Thank you.
my friend gave the Ho letter to reception and the college did not give a clear answer in their response they simply printed a letter from the net where it says Esol skills for life is for those who wish to gain naturalisation and added a letter to say what her level was etc...
