Changing employer

Post by polymerguy » Sat Nov 21, 2015 2:36 am

Hello guys,

After careful reading of the relevant threads:
http://www.immigrationboards.com/uk-tie ... 69661.html
and
http://www.immigrationboards.com/uk-tie ... ml#p770245
I could not find the answer on my question whether I need a language certificate if I am going to change the employer? I would very much appreciate if somebody could advise me.
In my situation I have Tier 2 General valid from June 2014 till Dec 2015, SoC code could be different for the new job, same range of salary, RLMT is done.

Please consider that the rule for the language certificate has been changed on 5th April 2015 and my certificate TOEFL is not valid any more. Or it does not matter when you apply for "extension" of Tier 2 with the valid leave to remain?

thank you!

Read clause 160 of the Tier 2 policy guidance.

Dear sushdmehta,

many thanks for quick reply! It's such a relief ;)
I have one more question: what is meant by "evidence" in the following statement:
"You must have a new certificate of sponsorship and you must meet all other application conditions, but you won’t need to send evidence in support of your application if you’ve sent it for a previous Tier 2 application"
at the https://www.gov.uk/tier-2-general/extend-your-visa ?

Kind regards

Read the application form, form guidance and the policy guidance to understand the "evidence" required for a change of employment application,

Tier2 extension original marriage certificate required

Post by polymerguy » Sun Dec 13, 2015 11:58 am

Hello Everyone,

I am applying for tier 2 extension (change of employers) together with one dependent (my wife). I would like to attach certificate of marriage. I have found a useful post regarding this: http://www.immigrationboards.com/uk-tie ... 47443.html but it does not say copy or original. Would you be so kind to advise do I need to submit the original document? I do not mind to do so, however it would be nice to know whether UKVI will return it back to me?

Thank you in advance,
yaro

UKVI have no reason to keep your original documents and they are returned to you, especially birth/marriage certificates.

Tier2 extension biometric collection notification

Post by polymerguy » Wed Dec 16, 2015 2:47 pm

Hello to everyone,

I have sent off the documents for Tier 2 extension. I would like to know how my biometrics will be collected. Do I have to wait for the notification from UKVI to go the Post Office for collection? If yes, the notification will be made by post or email?
I have searched at the forum but I couldn't find the relative thread...

Many thanks in advance

Yes
If yes, the notification will be made by post or email?
By post, the letter will have a barcode on specific to your application. The post office will scan the letter when recording your biometrics.
