UK passport App

Post by torikelly91 » Tue Dec 15, 2015 10:54 am

Hello,

Is it possible that my friend who is a cardiologist can countersign my UK passport application? She would just put down she's a doctor and my friend.

Is this acceptable?

She doesn't have to be YOUR doctor. She needs to be a professional and have known you for at least 2 years.

I know she doesn't have to be MY doctor but I thought she would just out doctor in the box.

Known her since not long after my arrival in 2009.

Senior Cardiac physiologist
This is fairly obvious that she is a medical professional

I know this but you never know.

Oh and On the back of one photo she's written this is a true likeness etc signed and dated but she didn't print her name .

Is her signature and date sufficient? or does she have to literally print her name too?

First passport

Post by torikelly91 » Fri Dec 18, 2015 10:26 am

Hi,

I've been trying to find this information online but not having much luck so was hoping somebody in here might be able to help.

Id like to know that if a passport application is rejected for whatever reason, and applicant had not used check and send,
do they debit the fee first and refund after rejection or do they not take the fee at all if they're looking to reject.

I hope this makes sense.

Keep your "passport" queries in a single topic.

fyi - Post Office Check&Send service would not accept a passport application (from my wife) with an incorrectly prepared statement on the back of photo.
