Can Tier 1 General be extended beyond 5years?

Post by ssa007 » Wed Dec 23, 2015 10:45 am

Hi Guys,

I will be completing 5 years on Tier 1 General in Jan 2016. I am eligible for ILR in Jan 2016, how ever I have self employed amendments pending, so I want to know if Tier 1 General can be extended rather than applying for ILR until my amendments are sorted?

Many thanks for your help.

Extensions for Tier 1 General are no longer possible. The Tier 1 route was closed completely and all extension applications had to be made before 5th April 2015 deadline.

You will either have to submit for ILR and cross your fingers or switch into another category of visa.

Many thanks for your reply CR001,

If I switch to another visa category, would I still be able to apply for ILR after like say 6months or so ?
