thx CR001 for your reply.CR001 wrote:If you meet all the requirements, you will qualify for ILR based on 10 years long residence in 2017. The start date of your qualifying period is the date you ENTERED the UK.
HO will still check your tax and employment history even if you apply based on long residence.

You can try and provide and explanation to HO and submit the HMRC letter and evidence of the company's bankruptcy which should be freely available on the insolvency register.
