Bank Letter Date

Hi,

My friend is going to apply for Tier 1 in 3 weeks. He submitted the form and paid the application fee. he is applying from outside the UK. Now he is going to get the bank letter.

However, he just noticed in the guidance that the letter should be issued within 31 days immediately before application date. In outside the country applications, the date of application is the date of application fee payment and so in his case the bank letter date will be after this 31 days period.

So, is it an issue? He has to cancel the previous application and submit a new one?

Any help appreciated.

date really matters it has to be within 31 days he should get those letters now which country he's applying from I'm going through the same situation coz I'm about to apply as wel can u tell plz what else documents he attached with his application

Bank Letter or Statement should be within 31 days of application.

If such document is dated more than required days ,application might be refused

Thank you. As I said they are not older than 31 days before the date of application, technically they are issued after date of application and it is his issue!

If the doc is not more than 31 days old, it is acceptable.

For example, if you are applying on 31st dec and you took letter on 2nd dec, then it is ok.

thanks but it is not like that,

he applied on say 19th dec and got the letter on 21st dec!

It is due to their new weird application system in which application date is not the date you go to visa centre (what used to be) but the date you submit your application online. so we happen to have a scenario in which some documents are dated after the date of application.
