ILR and time between two employments

I am coming up for my ilr soon based on the 5 year tier 2 route. I switched employers about a year back and had a month between the two employments. My tier 2 for the new employer was granted a week after i finished with my old employer but didnt actually start the job till 4 weeks later. I had a couple queries/concerns regarding this period:

1) do i need to minus these 4 weeks from my 5 year period and apply accordingly?

2) i took a out of country holiday during this period (after my new tier 2 visa had been granted). Would this create any issues?
