residence card application

Post by liverpool2008 » Sun Dec 20, 2015 12:44 am

hi every one , i wonder if there is one due a decision from eu treaty rights unit for five years.
i am a British citizen here in Ireland with my wife who applied for a RC as family member of EU but our decision was meant to be due by 19/12/15 but no response yet .
i emailed EU treaty unit and copied solvit as this is a clear violation of eu law but the treaty rights unit emailed back and said that a decision will be made in due course and that they cannot give definitive date.
i wonder if any one got a decision with in this period

Usually they don't give us the decision on time, however they don't keep longer than 7 months, Hopefully you will get your decision in couple of weeks because other member from this forum he got his decision a week after his temporary 6 month expired.
Stay blessed

i applied in june 2015 and my decision was due by dec 19th but i emailed them and they said that the decision will be issued in due course and they cannot give a definite date. i have also escalated the case to solvit and justice as i feel they are violating the EU law and yet they are Govt. organisation.

I also applied in June 2015, my temporary stamp is expiring in January, and like you the decision was pending on 10 December and i havent heard anything back yet. I think it will go until mid January as the temporary stamp is expiring on 11 January

i have raised the issue to solvit as this breach of the law. i think if ever one awaiting a decision and has already gone past six month can contact solvit. we may be able to get something

i reported the ''INIS'' to solvit uk who are dealing with case and i suprisingly got the call on phone from garda immigrtion asking me to confirm where i work.
i wonder if they were pushed to process my application.
m still waiting to see if get anything but this festive seson is likely to delay everything.

Strange the Garda immigration called to check where you work.

They don't process residence card. It is the department of Justice EU treaty rights section that deals with that.

no , i am not intending to apply for a family permit before we travel. we want to go just with the residence card we got from here and go by ferry and bus .
i have seen a few posts in the past that person with residence card in artical 10 does not need family permit to go to uk.then when we arive in uk we apply for residence card for my wife through sing route s a british citizen who hs been excersing free movement rights in another eu state.

Please note that the refusal rate since the 01-01-2014 when the centre of life test was introduced , has gone up quite significantly, even for people who had applied for EEA family permit.

I will suggest you prepare for some fight .

The law is unlawful by the way. Just in case you are on doubt.
