ILR

Post by sss123 » Wed Jan 06, 2016 12:29 pm

Hi,

Need some clarification. i have few more years to apply ILR. We were in different visa (Tier 4 , tier 2, tier 4 ) categories since 2010 to upto now (2016).

At present i'm in tier 4 visa and have 02 dependants.

If my wife apply as a student from home country for her master's and continue to Phd . Will we be able to apply ILR after completing 10 years in 2020. None of us has more than 06 months absent or overstays so far.

If you have 10 years legal stay and meet the requirements, you can apply for ILR based on 10 years long residence. Obviously, assuming the rules don't change in the next 4/5 years.
